Contrary to popular belief the art of double-entendre is not dead . . . but it is hanging by a mere thread on the brink of extinction, saved time & again by big hearted humorists such as Aleck Janoulis, bassist, songwriter, Patriarch & Don of his very own mafia offshoot. Underpinning the quickfire gags & foolery are solid grooves with top musicianship . . . of course playing too many bum notes in this band is a guarantee of concrete overshoes. Yo Al, the real mob had voices like angels (Franky & Dino?) . . . c’mon, get a VOICE in the mix or else it’s gonna be the glass of red wine then the baseball bat & lights out . . .
